The MAG 2000 and MAG 2000 Impact Date/Timer products monitor the handling of fragile goods and freight containers over 45 kg (100 lbs). When an impact occurs, the device provides visible evidence of the event and angle of impact. Shockwatch MAG 2000 is a shock monitoring instrument specifically designed to indicate excessive impacts on large travelling items such as: machinery packed in crates, manufacturing equipment, electronic systems, printing machines, X-ray equipment, freight containers, railway freight cars and trucks. MAG 2000 can also be used in monitoring applications related to handling or products in motion during production processes. Precise, easy to interpret and reset, thanks to a special key, but also tamperproof, MAG 2000 is used in a broad range of applications to monitor the conduct of transport personnel, improve handling of goods in transit and exactly identify the circumstances in which damage occurs. It is simple to use and immediately and permanently activated; there is no need for an explanation from specifically trained personnel. It has a robust patented design and is built to withstand even the most severe ambient conditions. The sturdiness of MAG 2000 makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use; it is thus ideal for use on trucks, railway cars and aircraft. MAG 2000 uses two highly sensitive magnets that are tripped by any acceleration caused by shocks or vibrations that are intense enough to overcome the force of magnetic attraction between them. In such a case the upper magnet will be forced out of its 'seat' and move into a new position that is visible inside the unit. Based on the position of the upper magnet it is possible to determine the angle of impact. Available with values from 0.5 to 25 G.
